Corrections come first

We would rather be corrected than be wrong, and we will always say what changed. If a green fee, a court count, a set of quiet hours, a mooring waitlist number, a permit fee, or an opening time on this site does not match reality, tell us which page and what it should say. We re-verify against the primary source, which usually means the venue's or the town's own published document, then fix the page and stamp it with the date we checked. Corrections that hold up get made the same week.

Other good reasons to write

Press and media: we can speak to how private and public club access actually works in Greater Portland, to golf and racket facility specifications, and to the town-by-town municipal rules we have compiled from primary sources. Venues and towns: if we have described your facility, your fee schedule, or your ordinance inaccurately, we want to hear it from you rather than from a review aggregator. Researchers, librarians, and site owners: our court maps, cost-of-living figures, and course specification tables are free to cite, and we will confirm methodology or provide the underlying source list on request. Readers: if you cannot find whether something is open, permitted, or worth the drive, ask. Unanswerable reader questions are how we pick what to write next.

What to expect

Two honest notes. First, on speed: we read every message, we reply to the ones that need a reply, and we check the queue rather than sitting in an inbox all day, so put the word urgent in your first line if it is. Second, on what we will not do: we do not sell placement, we do not accept payment to include a venue in a guide or to remove a criticism from one, and we do not run sponsored posts dressed as editorial.
